Original artwork description:

acrylic on handmade Thai mulberry paper (kada sa), deckled edge, 21 x 31 in., 55 x 77 cm.
As the name suggests…
This time I wanted a more dynamic walking, and so this pose. And plenty of drippy paint makes me feel good.
I think the experience of some other recent works, ‘In Praise of dance’, ‘walking’1 &2, really helped me to get this result I’m looking for. In the process looks like I’ve created a mini series with 3 ‘Walking’ paintings…
The paper I use is a traditional mulberry paper handmade in Thailand. The paper is a thick parchment paper, strong yet pliable. The paper is made to this size to get the unique, uneven deckled edges which adds to the overall textural effect. The close up pictures are to get a better feel for the texture and brush strokes of the painting. Then there’s the work in progress and me with the painting for perspective.
Interested to have your idea painted in this style? Maybe a storyboard collage from a recent travel or event, portrait, stroll in the park? Contact me.
