Artwork description:

I do love snow-shaker shaped etching plates! This one took some time to saw and file into shape, but I think it was worth it.. It started as a pencil sketch of a curious cat walking down the Mall towards Buckingham Palace in winter. I then redrew the image onto a grounded zinc plate with an etching needle before adding a soft ground to achieve the texture of the cat's fur and finally an aquatint for the tones.

The plate is then inked for every print in the limited edition using a sepia/black mix and then sprinkled with a little icing sugar so each one is a little bit different, hence numbered E.V (Edition Variable)

Orders are carefully wrapped in acid-free tissue, rolled into a 10cm wide, thick-walled cylinder and dispatched signed and tracked within four days.
