This painting is inspired by a walk I took with my daughter on the Fanabe beach, on the Adeje coast in Tenerife in early January 2015. I liked the cool light of the winter sun there, and how it fell on the figure of a girl running and bouncing in the rolling wave. It is a nostalgic painting of a happy moment of enjoying the simple pleasure of walking on the beach on a warm winter afternoon.
