A three layer reduction linocut print which I created in response to the recent death of one of my heroes, David Lynch. He is one of my biggest inspirations so I wanted to make a piece dedicated to him.
Waldo is the pet myna bird of Jacques Renault, a character in the fictional 1990’s TV show Twin Peaks by David Lynch. Waldo was a key witness in the investigation of Laura Palmer’s murder, having remembered and learnt how to mimic the phrase ‘Leo, no!’; words which Laura shouted on that notorious evening in Jacques’ cabin on the night she was murdered.
Twin Peaks is one of my favourite creations of David Lynch, and being a great lover of birds I decided to make a piece that made a subtle reference to the show whilst being true to my style; this way you can enjoy this print whether you’re a Twin Peaks fan or not!
