Waiting to go....all the little yachts in the tiny harbour of the village of Tignabruaich in Argyll in the Scottish Highlands. This little gem of a village is tucked away off the beaten track at the end of a lovely drive through the forest. Up over hills, through glens and finally over the crest of the hill you see the bay between the Isle of Bute and the mainland. Here lies Tignabruaich or Tig as the locals say where all is peace and calm until yachting season begins.

This image was made at half past three in the morning on a fabulous June day when the air smelled of Summer. The water around the yachts was crystal clear and there was no one about but me and the birds. I am not a sailing person myself but the beauty of these creatures that seem like sleeping swans made me want to sail over the sea.

This beautiful extra large Limited Edition print it one of only 25 available. It comes signed, numbered and titled at the bottom. I use wonderful Canson Infinity Rag Photographique 310gsm paper which produces rich blacks and vibrant colours and holds colour for a lifetime. Canson have been making paper for over 450 years and their paper was used by Picasso, Ingres, Miro and Warhol to name but a few. The inks I use are state-of-the-art non fade Epson Ultrachrome K3 with Vivid Magenta.

Your print comes with a Certificate of Authenticity and is prepared with a generous white border to make it easy to mount. The print is carefully wrapped in acid free tissue then shipped rolled in a sturdy art tube. I have demonstrated how this will look framed but it would look great frameless mounted under acrylic to give a floating effect on the wall so I have prepared an image of that as well. Often for clients I mock up using their room, if you would like this service please just get in touch to discuss.

I photograph and print every image, I do not outsource any part of my workflow. Each print has been painstakingly crafted to ensure the true colours, resolution and texture are exactly as they should be.

By using beautiful Canson Infinity Paper and combining it with the fabulous non-fade Epson Ultrachrome K3 with Vivid Magenta inkset of 9 colours, I can produce a print of exceptional quality which will last a lifetime without fading.
