Earlier in 2020 I was experimenting with glazing and monochromatic paintings. Most of them were landscapes or cityscapes (and vampires!) but I also fancied trying a figurative one as well. I was very much influenced by black and white photography of the 1920s for this one and wanted a quite melancholic feeling to the picture. The model was the lovely Ruth.
