Original artwork description:

A lot of my newer work is pushing past my comfort zone. I'm attempting new ideas with new surfaces and breaking rules in an attempt to grow and mature as an artist. Making sure that art is archival is something every artist has heard at one point or another. Well you can't paint it like that because it wont last, or make sure you use acid free paper because of this, and make sure you use a sealant on your drawings because of this issue. And then also we look at our surfaces and paint and point to the quality therein, and transfer that quality to the artwork somehow. Because the width of your stretcher bar makes the painting better right? I think we're all taking ourselves a little too seriously and this painting is in response to that.

This is an acrylic painting on gesso'd heavy weight cardboard. It was created in February of 2017 and will come signed on the back and shipped in a box.

Materials used:

Acrylic paint and gesso
