"The Voyager Golden Records are two phonograph records that were included aboard both Voyager spacecraft launched in 1977. The records contain sounds and images selected to portray the diversity of life and culture on Earth, and are intended for any intelligent extraterrestrial life form who may find them. As of June 2014, "Voyager 1" left at a distance of 19.1 billion kilometers from the Sun.
The Voyager plate is an information plate with audio and video recording, packed in an aluminum case. Plated with gold to resist erosion from cosmic dust. Together with the record, a phonographic capsule and a stylus for reproducing the recording are packed in a case. The case is engraved with a diagram showing the installation of the stylus on the recording surface, the playback speed and the method for converting signals into an image, in addition, a map of pulsars is reproduced, on which the position of the Sun in the Galaxy is marked, as well as a diagram of the emission of a hydrogen atom."
