Voorburg – 16-07-19

On my way to my students in Voorburg I always come across this park that got a kind of reshape last year. I love to see the sun shimmer through leafs causing me to see a whole range of blue, yellow and ocre kind of greens. Besides these hues these settings show a maximal tonal bandwith sparkle in my eyes, almost like flikkering diamonds. I wanted to draw a rather abstract feel, still suggesting the powerful essence of this specific clairobscur play.

Graphite pencil drawing (Pentel 0.5 mm, 3B) on Winsor & Newton paper (10.5 x 14.8 x 0.1 cm – A6 format)
Artist: Corné Akkers

Materials used:

Graphite pencil drawing (Pentel 0.5 mm, 3B) on Canson Bristol paper (14.8 x 10.5 cm - A6 format)
