"vogelfrei" means free like birds. In my artwork birds represent having wings of possibilities, freedom of flight, precision and timing, perspektive, vision and individuality. Imagine the feeling of being a bird and flying high! In "vogelfrei" I I usedexpressive thick brush strokes, then I added gestural writing using soft pastels. The meaning of the word "vogelfrei" becomes part of the painting. I transfer the letters literally onto the canvas; solidifying the message.
