Mixed media abstract painting inspired by famous drawing Vitruvian Man or The proportions of the human body according to Vitruvius by Leonardo da Vinci. Leonardo drew that drawing in 1492 rendered in pen, ink, and metalpoint on paper, the piece depicts an idealized nude male standing within a square and a circle. Ingeniously, Leonardo chose to depict the man with four legs and four arms, allowing him to strike 16 poses simultaneously. I think a circle around the man figure also symbolizing the aural circle and I'm trying to develop that idea more clearly by using bright color pallet with red, orange and yellow colors. Also inspired by modern street art and surreal paintings by Mexican artists Remedios Varo and Leonora Carrington.
Materials: Acrylic, oil paints and ink on canvas.
