Original artwork description:

Enlarging and exploring the microscopic and macroscopic fragments of the universe. In this painting I was also making a connections with the random patterns raindrops make on concrete pathways and windows. I was thinking how beautiful this is but also how it is intrinsically connected to all life forms.
The background in this painting has a strong dynamic contrasting the dainty ovoid forms drifting across the surface. I painted a strong vermillion-tangerine colour under the richly textured surface of the parchment like background colour. I think it plays a beautiful complimentary and harmonious game with the coloured forms in the foreground.

Materials used:

Mixed Media & Oil Paint on Gallery Wrapped Canvas Artist’s quality stretched canvas/cotton-duck on traditional wooden stretcher. Varnished with Professional Quality Artists Varnish
