Leaving meaning behind and opening up to a flow of unobstructed creativity here - it's been quite an adventure to hold this composition together with so many elements, forms and shapes interlocking and overlapping!
Also a timetaking one - despite it's moderate size the painting has been a few months in the making, while I kept building up layers of oil paint, etching inks, and oil pastels. I like how plastic and sculptural the surface became as a result - almost like a relief in some areas - you can see than on closeup angled photos.
But most of all the richness and playfulness of all this strange surreal universe that came to be is something I'm very fond of with this work. You can literally keep looking at it forever and finding something new all the time - at least I did ;).

The painting is on linen canvas board; edges painted black with floatframe type display in mind.
Secured with a couple of layers of satin varnish
