Original artwork description:

The painting represents a journey through time (20 years in the past) with details and motifs that we could see in the homes of wealthier families at the time. The composition was created during the period of isolation, so I traveled through imagination to find some inspiration.
Within the composition we have two contrasts - the figure of a man and a woman, a dog and a cat. The dog as a motif of fidelity and friendship, while the cat is a symbol of wisdom and cunning.
In the picture, golden details are used to evoke the period of time. We can also see some details that take us back in time (old phone, furniture, etc.). The left part is dedicated to the love of all kinds of art - piano (music), torso(sculpture), Picasso's painting on the wall (painting). In the background through an open window we see the sky full of stars and the sea - water that is associated with calm and relaxation contrast to my state of mind while making this painting – anxiety and fear.
We can observe each part of the composition separately, which is very interesting. Bosnian carpet motifs reappear - an emphasis on the values of the area I come from. The whole painting is solved in the manner of naive art and a simple figural solution, but with a multitude of colors and complex details.
The painting is one of my imaginations during the pandemic period, because it is best to write journeys through the imagination on the surface of the canvas.
