Original artwork description:
This oil painting was made in-situ in autumn near Carcassonne. Originally I had planned to paint the city of Carcassonne but the vineyards in late autumn were so colourful (the colours of the vine leaves depend on the grape variety) that they became my main subject together with the pine trees in the foreground. Still you can see in the distance some of the remparts and turrets of the famous medieval city.
This painting is sold with a wooden floating frame, ready to hang (see photo) .
