Original artwork description:

This gouache painting was inspired by a scenery of the vineyards behind the Tasting Room of the Folktale Winery in Carmel Valley, California.

This is a 6"x6" gouache painting on 140 lbs 100% cotton cold pressed watercolor paper adhered to a gatorfoam board. Gouache is very closely related to watercolor. It uses the same gum Arabic binder, but has more pigment which is not ground as finely as watercolor. Professional gouache colors are so opaque and vibrant, because they have the highest pigment load of any other painting medium.

The painting is unframed and will require a frame to hang on the wall.
No glass needed when framing, as the painting is protected with several coats of archival varnish. Images showing the painting framed are for presentation purposes only. Frames are not included.
