Original artwork description:

A view of Villiers Street (near Embankment Station)..I live in West Sussex and occasionally travel up to town with my easel or sometimes just sketch and take photographs.

I painted this back home and was attracted by the contrasts in the composition..as always, a trade off between realism and abstraction although with Cityscapes I often think I lean a bit too far towards realism.

I have tendency to publish paintings as soon as they are finished (seems better than storing the item for months). Usually, not a problem but sometimes they (thankfully) attract a buyer very quickly with the result that I have to delay shipping until it's completely dry..this painting should be ready to ship mid Feb '17..
