This is a study for a larger commission I will be painting for a Client....... The town depicted is clearly a Seaside Town, although it is a Melange of several towns I know and love well; Villefranche, Cassis, Honfleur.... The mosaic- like Rooftops are purposely tilted this way and that; animated a bit.... A Happy a Scene, from a life of Joie de Vivre, by the Sea!!!! This canvas is painted around the edges so can be hung unframed....
