This work was inspired by a multi-day hike in Paanajärvi in Karelia.
The ancient village of Vartiolampi is lost in the vastness of the Karelian lands. The once rich village was located on the banks of the Olanga River, now little remains of it, only a few huts in the middle of flowering meadows with Ivan-tea grass.
