Etching miniprint of a ruined house in a small town in Portugal called Vila do Conde. I have always been fascinated by ruin and dilapidation. I was fascinated by being able to see the sky where the back wall of the house once was and by the textures of the peeling paint and crumbling stone.
This etching is hand printed from a copper etching plate. Each print in the edition is inked and wiped and printed on my press in my studio at my home in the Surrey Hills.
