Original artwork description:

An acrylic plein-air painting sketch of Kipford estuary. I loved the clarity of the reflection in the water, the contrast of colour from the mud against the green hills in the distance. Very much an impressionistic landscape, almost abstract in its execution. The estuary taking your eye to the distance through a 'z' - a lovely sketch. The technique teases the eye with its simplicity. Only when viewed from a distance is the picture and effect revealed. This was just over an hour to paint. Painted in acrylic on waterford paper.
