An acrylic plein-air painting sketch of a view to Hestan Island. A classic view of Hestan Island from Rockcliffe across the inlet. The tide is out and the sky cloudy. An arresting sketch with a sublime tranquility. A lovely relaxing plein-air sketch in a impressionistic style, keeping the brush strokes simple and therefore the end result uncluttered. We have holidayed there for the last 2 years in Rockcliffe. I must say I find the views very inspirational to paint. This was just over an hour to paint. Painted in acrylic on waterford paper.
