The shortening days of autumn, the leaves drop and the rain starts, but there is a certain beauty out there, more so if you are sitting in your studio in front of the wood stove with some gentle Ludovico Einaudi playing in another room far away.
I love the tones of this painting, the softness of the pale greens and the off whites.
There is a lot of paint on the canvas, the structure is heavy which counters the fine lines and gentleness of the branches.
