Monhegan Island is a magical place and should be in everyone's bucket list! Not just to go there as a day tripper - but to spend the night on the island. To experience real quiet and true darkness, and to see amazing stars! The views from Monhegan are special as well - the sea rising up to an endless sky. Last summer I was lucky enough to spend a week there painting. Walking along the paths, you can find a paintable view around every corner!
