Original artwork description:

We we staying a huge mansion close to Mahon on a big family holiday close to Mahon when I painted this. I was inspired by the deep red roses and different plant leaf shapes and tried a different style.

Watercolour is one of my favourite mediums as you can achieve beautiful layers of translucent colour, and create some wonderful impressionisitic works. This was painted during 5 months of travel by campervan around europe with my family.
