An evening in Edinburgh, a small group gathers to the left side of the street. The sun has just gone down and it was a Summer night in June when the artist was exploring Edinburgh with her camera. The well known Victoria Street with its wealth of interesting alleyways, bars and restaurants holds a special memory of being the first time the artist had visited.
She took many photographs but this one stood out as a strong image to paint with the gothic spires against the blue of the evening sky.
Lights here and there give a feeling of warmth to this painting. It is framed in a black tray frame.
