Artwork description:

A Collagraph hand made print from a life drawing. It is printed on 300gsm Fabriano watercolour paper. A Collagraph print is one made from a plate with different textures. My printing plate is made from mounting board. The process is a combination of intaglio and relief. I Collaged my plate with different textures in this instance I used scrim a rough cotton material, tile adhesive, wet and dry sand paper and modelling paste. I also cut into the plate with a scalpel. I used PVA glue to stick on my textures. Pva is then sealed with shellac. The plate is then coloured with stay open inks and each print is never the same. I will pack this print flat between layers of cardboard (see me at work pic) This print is sold unframed.
