In 1965 the skipper of the boat 'Venture' kept a diary during the Shetland herring fishing season. Fifty-five years later, his nephew put the diary into the hands of writer Jim Mainland who took the jottings and made them into a unique poem. I've long considered weaving graphics and text together and finally lit the blue touchpaper with Venture. Come on in, the water is lovely!
Technical remarks: Venture comprises cover, frontispiece and 8 pages of text and graphics. The edition is 40 copies, of which 20 are offered for sale. Each pamphlet is signed and numbered by myself, being designer, printer and publisher. All materials are of high quality. The eight inside pages are printed on one side only and avoid show-through.
