"Venice View From San Giorgio Maggiore" is a textured stylized cityscape impasto palette knife oil painting on stretched canvas 27x46 cm (11x18 inches), 2019.

This painting is part of my Venice cityscapes series and it is a new rendition of the awesome view of Venice seen from the Campanile of San Giorgio Maggiore.

I painted this work in impasto technique, rendered in a stylized manner, with thick textures of oil paint applied with brushes and palette knives.

Signed on the front, accompanied by a signed Certificate of Authenticity.

I have always loved to approach my urban paintings in a myriad of ways. I enjoy stylizing architectural forms in various manners. This has always been one of my goals, even a preoccupation from the time I was studying at the school of architecture until the present. The versatility of oil paint along with my prototypic work with palette knives allows me to play with the urban forms abstracting the city in an unconstrained manner.
