Since my childhood Venice has been a dream destination for me. Both from my father tales and visitor stories I have been creating my own imagination and pictures of Venice. My first opportunity came up in early 2001 when I received a chance to practice in Venice "Academia d'Arte" Art Academy. Spending over 7 months in Italy, I had a chance to see and learn so much about cultural heritage of Italy. I traveled a lot to Rome, Florence and many other small cities, however, Venice remains a fairy city of romance and the beautiful of all in world cities. Depicting Venice is a great pleasure for me, maybe I am more obsessed with marine painting and sea images than regular landscapes.

This is one of my early Venice Landscapes, a lonely night when I just came in and was admiring the sunset in beautiful city. I was supposed to take a tour to visit famous Mkhitarian's congregation next day and since it's been late for that particular day, I got my paints and canvas and started depicting an upcoming sunset, thinking of all possible impressions of the future tour. Venice is beautiful always be it sunset or sunrise, but it is especially magnificent at night. I had a remarkable feeling painting this little theme of sea and architecture with sunset, one of my first in Venice, but will never forget it. Got a little request to possible owner, never lose it in the large collection of all your paintings, this is like a princess painting and please treat her like with a princess. If anybody ever changes the mind, I would be happy to have it back. Thank you.
