Artwork description:

One of the most iconic neon signs in Hong Kong are the pawn shops' ones. I find them very photogenic and when it's dark and their lights are on sometimes it's easier to come with an interesting shot. Here the proximity with a scaffolding and the reflection of the colorful lights on the veil wrapping it immediately catched my attention and I imagined it as Schopenhauer's veil of Maya, that obscures the reality and only allows us to experience the phenomenal representation of it: only by removing this veil we can get rid of this illusion and discover the noumenal reality.

Limited edition of 25 printed on Pro Luster paper, 42x60 cm (comes with a white border for easy framing), with signed certificate of authenticity.
