The ghats of Varanasi have been painted umpteen times yet they never cease to inspire the artist. I wanted to capture the ebb and flow of the activities on these ghats on a typical day. The motionless solid structures of the buildings in the upper half provide a nice contrast to the flowing motion of the river below.
This is painted on Saunders Waterford CP 300 gsm watercolour paper using artist-grade paints.
Colours may slightly vary due to the different monitor/ mobile screen settings. Signed and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
Artist category watercolor pigments, 100% cotton acid-free watercolor paper
