Artwork description:

This is part of the Dashavatar series- VARAHA AVATARA.

Dashavatara refers to the ten avatars of Vishnu, the Hindu god of preservation. Vishnu is said to descend in form of an avatar to restore cosmic order.

Varaha (boar) is the 3 rd Avatar of the Hindu god Vishnu in the Dashavatara. When the demon Hiranyaksha stole the earth and hid her in the primordial waters, Varaha slee the demon and retrieved the earth from the ocean lifting it in his tusk.

Every print is hand pulled by me, and therefore proudly shows the various marks left from the rough surface of the Lino block, which furthermore give the piece of artwork that unique handmade quality that only Lino prints have. This is all part of the beauty of the medium and why I love Lino printing.
Please note Variations in colour of the screen are technically possible.
