I painted this piece after taking a trip to Varenna, one of the charming villages and towns, studding the entire perimeter of Lake Como. Located at the foot of the Alps, Lake Como provides one of the most picturesque sceneries in the world. I was drawn to a big sky filled with colorful clouds above the magnificent mountains, all reflecting in the water below.

Materials:
Oil on 6"x8" oil-primed Claessens Belgian linen, mounted on the archival museum quality Gatorfoam panel. Painting surface is protected with a coat of Gamvar varnish.
