Drawing is a combination of charcoal and pastel chalks. Charcoal stick has a nice, natural, warm tone and more rough gesture in opposite to the smoothness of pastel chalks. What was interesting to my painter's eye was the edge of the dark birch trunk clearly outlined in the morning sky.

charcoal stick, pastel chalks, coloured pastel paper, professional fixative spray for protection
