Original artwork description:

This piece is a new style fish paper cut from three watercolour paintings of different swirling lines and shapes in graduating aqua, blues, copper and gold.

Each of the three dimensional salmon is cut from the watercolour paintings and decoratively arranged in a graduating colour square in the centre of the frame.
They are attached to heavy watercolour paper within a white glazed deep box frame

The result is a vibrant and colourful modern relief design revealing individual salmon leaping on closer inspection, with different shadows cast from the three dimensional bodies, and tails, depending on the direction of the light.

Materials used:

Watercolour and gold ink on watercolour paper, in a white glazed (glass) deep box frame
