Original artwork description:

'Up And Away' is an abstract expressionist painting that is free and gestural. It is an action painting reminiscent of the works of Robert Motherwell, Franz Kline, and Pierre Soulages. While the work is Black and White, it is uplifting in spirit and immediate with strong brushwork. There is minimal second pass adjustment and so what one sees is authentic and inspirational. The painting is signed on the front and back and is ready to hang, unframed, with wire attached. The sides are white and a continuation of the painting. No framing is required unless desired.

This painting has been created using professional acrylic paint. A thin layer of Liquitex Professional Satin Varnish has been applied to protect against UV light.

This painting works well on its own or with its companion piece 'Into The Night'. Please see the in situ images for design ideas
