Sketching is my daily exercise. It keeps that part of my brain sharp. I often work these sketches fast and furious. In this way I capture a unique mood. Often lines are rough and scratchy, stains from water or paint may be on the paper, sometimes some folds or tears may be there. This one has a couple of folds just above the signature. Slowly I am reaching into my trunk full of sketches, organizing them, uploading, and reworking them into paintings and some digital works. Many of my inspirations come from sitting out in public places. More are creative interpretations from images I see…. such as this one. My 'Black & Blue' is the painting version.
