Original artwork description:

Nude male studies painted in earthy colours.

This painting explores several nude male figures laid on top of one another shifting the perspective of the nude, generally seen as the realm of the female nude - a perception of reality created through stereotyping by those who set the foundation of what should be considered 'the nude', in-turn creating a biased narrative that has lasted generations.

Within the contemporary art scene these perceptions have shifted away from previous ideas in how the nude should or could be considered.

Materials used:

Tempera paint on wallpaper underlay
