Artwork description:

This is an aluminium lithograph of an emancipated slave from America. The image explores 'lost generations' and forms part of my ongoing Lost Generations project. the idea is to capture historical events as portraiture to create discourse about our collective past.

The image has been created through the process of aluminium lithography using aluminium foil and the water/ oil resist technique. I love how this technique retains a drawing quality.

It has been handprinted onto quality cartridge paper.

Materials used:

Oil based printing ink on quality cartridge paper.
