Artwork description:

This is an aluminium lithograph of an emancipated slave from America. The image explores 'lost generations' and forms part of my ongoing Lost Generations project. the idea is to capture historical events as portraiture to create discourse about our collective past.

The image has been created through the process of aluminium lithography using aluminium foil and the water/ oil resist technique. Ten editions were pulled from the plate, each one slightly different as the image changes via natural degradation (entropy).

I love this form of printing as it retains much of the drawing qualities. It has been handprinted on quality cartridge paper.
