Original artwork description:

Hi, this is the latest in my abstract and colourist series.
The canvas has been grounded in Phlatho blue and white washes - and left to dry in between. A few days later separate red and orange washes where painted at the top and continually brushed to prevent dripping. The blue and purple washes were added subsequently.
When the layers are built up in this way, the colour glows as the under layers come through the upper coats.

I will stare at the work in the next few days, and I may attack it again,
