Original artwork description:

This oversized painting is  a declaration of pure joy in a semi-abstracted pastoral scene of rolling hills and creamy skies.  There is a call and response structure to the work which is a motif of the artist  - often on opposite sides of the scene horizontally.  Although the call and response are rendered with olive green and rocky colours, their floating quality gives the work a surrealist element and points to something both within and beyond the visible realm.  This is a supernatural signifier, suggesting something heavenly.

Materials used:

Oil on canvas
