Large oil on canvas painting of the very changeable skies over Stoodley Pike, I took this image and worked the painting from a selection of very rainy phototographs taken whilst out walking along the top of the moor land towards Stoodley Pike. I think any one who loves to be out on the moorlands will appreciate the vastness of the open skies and the way that you can see the clouds and rain approaching. on this piece I have experimented with gold and bronzes to try and capture colours and movement of the grasses being blown by the powerful wind.
