Original artwork description:

This impressionistic acrylic painting is of an unknown fresco discovered in an old Norman church. The colours are very faded because the fresco was covered in whitewash during the reformation; as icons and such were deemed to represent the catholic church and were not protestant.

ALL CUSTOMERS PLEASE NOTE - This piece is sold as a loose canvas only, and is not ready to hang. It will be delivered rolled in a heavy-duty parcel tube.
Painted on 100% cotton duck canvas, which will come off of the temporary stretcher frame and be dispatched. So once received it should be mounted on another suitable stretcher frame, and then hung with or without a decorative main frame.

It is signed and dated at the back, varnished for protection and a certificate of authenticity provided. The overall size of the canvas is 164×116cm and the painting size is 144 × 96 × 5 cm.
