Original artwork description:

This painting was a contribution to the Artfinder Contest "Unity" in January 2023.
I prefer the title "United", because the people of the world can unite for the purpose of achieving common goals, but they never will and never want to form a unity.
In terms of content, I have exemplified different groups, including animals as part of the world community.
Formally, I have chosen a "cubist" mode of representation, because the combination of frontal and profile views of the faces makes it possible to link people together. Picasso's "Guernica" was also an inspiration; my painting can be understood as a positive counter-design. The colour scheme is cheerfully harmonious and optimistic - I was thinking of Matisse.

The edges are white, the painting can be hung without additional framing.

My paintings are shipped in a cardboard with DHL, TNT or UPS and are insured for the value. If the shipping costs are lower than indicated, the difference will of course be refunded.
