Original artwork description:

The Union Canal stretches from the centre of Edinburgh to Balerno and beyond. It is a wonderful walk, one I undertook on Christmas Eve. I was fascinated by the wonderfully Scottish architecture that backed onto the tranquil water, high windows, pink and grey brick, the scent of wood smoke. It was so tranquil, with just ducks and the occasional dog walker for company. This work is an ideal souvenir of Edinburgh, a great gift, a good collection starter. It is 0.4 inches deep so it can hang without being framed if wished.

Materials used:

acrylic and card
