This painting is deceivingly simple: because you can clearly see what it represents, it asks questions about a very fundamental concept - beauty. What is beauty? Where is it to be found? Does beauty need to come from beautiful objects? Can beauty be a feeling? Can it be just a way of putting colors on canvas?
The piece was created in the artists’ studio in northern France.
