Artwork description:

This image is created from original photographs taken at Maryport on the Cumbrian Coast. It has been created by layering and juxtaposing up to 30 different photographs to create an entirely new scene, which captures a sense of this beautiful place, enclosed and protected by a solid harbour wall.

I loved the way this tow line was coiled around the railings at the harbour in Maryport and knew I wanted it to form a central part of an image. I combined a range of textures also photographed in the harbour to create the coastline behind. This is my favourite type of light, when the sky is a deep blue grey and everything comes sharply into focus. I wanted to convey this through a limited colour palette.

This print is 50 cm square (19.7 inches square) Edition of 25

Also Available in the following editions;

Print size 30cm x 30cm (11.8 inches square) Edition of 50
Print Size 62cm x 61cm ( 24.5 inches x 24 inches) Edition of 10

This work arrives unframed, signed and numbered on the front with a certificate of authenticity on the back.

Materials used:

Hanhnemuhle archival 310gsm cotton rag printed with UV Resistant inks
