Original artwork description:

This piece is a combined diptych comprised of 2 stretched canvases framed together with wood supports. The surface is built up from acrylic underpainting, then I used a white charcoal pencil to create the images. Glitter is then applied over gel medium. Finally the graphical vinyl lettering is applied. This is all sealed with a think, high gloss layer of gel medium.

A recurring theme in my work is equality and empowerment for girls/women. My daughter, like most of the women in my life, is the embodiment of determination, intelligence, empathy, and strength. I encourage this to no end...I also encourage her to not take any crap from anyone. I want her to know that nobody can keep her down, only herself. Keep being awesome.
